Dal★Shabet releases Supa Dupa Diva MV Teaser

Dal★Shabet (or Da Sherbet as I like to call them) just released a new MV teaser, which is to be released on January 4th, according to the teaser.  "Supa Dupa Diva" is Dal★Shabet's debut song... What is their theme? It's so cutesy fruitsey you just want to eat the MV teaser.  I personally think the comic versions of themselves are kind of scary... but the song beat sounds catchy enough; it's more about the music than the teaser, right? Chinese group HIT-5 does collab with Girl's Day MinAh

HIT-5, a popular Chinese pop group, collaborated with Korean pop singer MinAh from the group Girl's Day to record "Afraid of You".  The MV involves some creepy stalker photo taking between HIT-5's Yang Fan and MinAh (Yang Fan is the one with the blonde highlights, the better looking one *cough*).  ...is it bad that I don't really know who Girl's Day is, but I know who HIT-5 is?

MBLAQ releases teaser for January comeback

MBLAQ returns with a new teaser for their upcoming album;  their album release date is January 10th and their comeback on Mnet is scheduled for January 13th.  MBLAQ has had an image makeover just for their comeback and their teaser looks great as well....  The concept? Water, and lots of it.  And if MBLAQ is going to be swimming around like pros in the water tank, how can we see their beautiful new haircuts...? JK, MBLAQ LOVE!

Singer Park Jung-min holds successful fan meetings in Japan [2010.12.24]

Singer Park Jung-min held his first solo fan meetings in Japan this week, according to his agency CNR Media on Friday.

A press release from CNR announced that Park's first fan meeting held twice on December 22 at Osaka's NHK Hall in Japan attracted a total about 4,000 fans, while 3,000 fans attended his second meet-and-greet the following day at JCB Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

On Tuesday, Park held an autograph session for the release of his first Japanese photo book titled "Present."

Park made his debut as one of the members in boy band SS501 along with Kim Hyun-joong, Kim Kyu-jong, Heo Young-saeng and Kim Hyung-jun in 2005. He signed with CNR media in August to continue with his singing career after their contract with DSP Media expired in June this year.

His first solo album "Not Alone" will go on sale next month and will hold a showcase and fan meeting in Korea to celebrate the release.

What is 2PM's advice on training? NK: Pushing ups
I’m skinny so I won’t do something like running but emphasize more on muscles. My advice to ViVi readers is pushing-ups. Doing as much as me will be too much so just 50 times will do. Do 10 sets of 5 repetitions. At the beginning, you’ll feela bit lazy it’s ok to let your knees touch the floor

TY:Going to fitness
Isn’t going to fitness the best way for training? Previously, I’d go there at night if there were no schedules and did it for about 2 hours. All these muscles were built by lift dumbbells. But I rarely go because I’m pretty busy…

JS:Running& Muscles building
There was time that I exercised like hell; 10 mins of running to build muscles then kept on running for 40 mins and had a cup of black coffee then ran again for 30 mins. I ate only chicken breast. Run for 2 weeks in a row will make you healthier so this is my advice. But it’s hard to keep doing…

WY:Stretching 
My goal is to keep body muscles in balance because it’s important for break dance. Before modeling for this kind of photoshoot, I always do push-ups including doing it against the wall. But stretching is more proper for female, isn’t it? If you work hard on it, you’ll sweat. I think stretching is enough

JH: Pushing-ups &abdomen training
I used to do muscle building routines frequently but due to my back bones injury, I run and walk instead. Personally, I like sprinting. My advice would be pushing-ups &abdomen training. You don’t have to do it as hard as men do. Move your body about 10 times a day to keep bodyfirm!

CS:Jogging&eating
For me, I’ll do muscles-training exercise like this; shoulders today, arms tomorrow, back the day after tomorrow. My advice is jogging for about 15-20 mins. Daily eating routine is important. Don’t just eat a big meal but eat a small one every 2 or 3 hours. You won’t gain weight easily

KARA and SNSD get "Rookie of the Year" award in Japan

Even though we kind of knew it already, KARA and SNSD have been confirmed to have done extremely well in Japan.  Just as the Wondergirls had brought their talent to the U.S., KARA and SNSD have increased K-pop's international recognition via Japan.  How well did these groups do?

"Girl group KARA has so far released two singles, five albums and one DVD and has earned themselves an income of 1.3 billion yen ($15 million) in total sales.  Girls' Generation has released two singles, six albums and one DVD ranking in a total income of 800 million yen ($9.5 million)" (Korea Herald).

TVXQ releases "Athena: Goddess of War" MV and track

After a long wait (just about several years), Yunho and Changmin have finally returned to K-pop with their new song "Athena".  If you didn't know originally (like me) TVXQ had been on hiatus for a long time.  It was only a year ago since Junsu, Jejung, and Yuchun had formed the 3-member group JYJ. While scrounging around 6theory forums, I found this episode of CNN where Super Junior is interviewed (occurred last month).  Luckily for us who do not speak Korean, the interview is translated in English.  My favorite moments were... when Shindong tried to spell CNN with his fingers, but got stuck on the "N" and when Leeteuk made his response to the question "Do you have a girlfriend?" What was his response? You have to watch the episode to find out :D  (the interview starts after a few commercials in the beginning)

9Muses to debut in Japan

I read on the mother blog, allkpop, that 9Muses is supposed to debut in Japan on December 26th.  9Muses is a very rookie group that I personally think is not too well known yet, even in their home Korea.  They aren't like Co-Ed or Sistar, who have had very good success in their debuts and performances, yet they are going to Japan to compete with not only Japan native singers, but veteran K-pop artists such as SNSD or 2PM.  So quick poll or what YOU think? Do you think 9Muses will make it in Japan?

Junsu posted a selca of himself on Twitter with a Japanese message: 今日、ショウケイスを三回連続しました。今終わり食事に行ってます。大勢の方々が来てさって本当にありがたいと思っています。ありがとうございます！そして愛してます！ This message is translated to "we had 3 showcase performances. It all ended now, so we're going to have dinner. I'm really thankful to everyone" (2PM Always).  Fans are worried that 2PM is overworking themselves, commenting about Junsu and his tired eyes.  2PM had just arrived and debuted in Japan a few days ago.  Follow Junsu on Twitter here.

They just released a teaser to their song "Love Letter" only a few days ago.  ZE:A has had recently success in Japan and hopefully this album will increase their popularity.  ZE:A, SNSD, and Kara have been active in Japan, each doing well and even competing with native J-pop.
